we've been married for 15 years, i can not believe it's been that long! sometimes it feels like yesterday and sometimes it feels like eons ago. we've definitely been through a lot together, but the more i'm around my husband, the more i grow to appreciate him. he gets frustrated with life and situations just like any normal person would, but he always takes everything in stride. he's caring and sensitive (though he doesn't show that side of himself to others regularly) and he's funny and smart too. (he's a walking encyclopedia of useless information...but always has something interesting to talk about!) he's an awesome dad and loves our kids more than anything in the world too!
i'm hoping for 60 more years with this guy...i think we'll be one of those funny, cute old couples when we're older. (i know, we're already "old"...at least he is, i'm not!)
as sunflowers constantly turn toward the sun, i strive to face the SON throughout the day. many days i fail to keep my focus. it is my dream to one day become a beautiful sonflower

14 years...
yesterday was our 14th anniversary, it's so hard to believe that i've been married that long and that i've known jerry for almost half of my life! (it will be for half of my life next year in november...wow!)
jerry told me several days ago that i was NOT going to work or help with vbs, so to get replacements and let the proper people know. when we were trying to leave it was pouring rain and had been all day, so "plan a" was changed to "plan b". (we were going to eat at sloppy joe's and spend the evening hanging out on the beach.) we picked a restaurant for plan b and went off to search for it....40 minutes later we couldn't find it so i called 411 and got the number that automatically transferred to another location...the one we were looking for was closed 2 months ago! so on to "plan c"... we went to the green iguana and it was great! we didn't have a live band for some reason (looking on their site they have bands nightly from 6-close), but the atmosphere (eating in a gargantuan tiki hut) and the food were awesome, along with the dessert! definitely reasonable prices too! we had a good time, and it was a great way to celebrate our anniversary....can't wait to head back over there again!
being married has definitely had it's ups and downs, but i wouldn't trade it for anything. we know each other so well, and rarely fight, it's just amazing to still get along with someone after such a long time. i just hope life slows down a little for us so we can enjoy time with each other more often!
