Never enough time...

even in the summertime! I need to reorganize my thoughts about what I want to accomplish this summer, and take into consideration "sleep time" since I'm working 3rd shift several days a week. I think I'll be making a list later today, I've gotten away from making lists and I seem to accomplish so much more when I have an active one going.

In the meantime, I came across this version of Proverbs 31 that someone posted on a youth pastor's forum about a year or so ago. I copy/pasted it to look at "later"...LOL

*A good woman is hard to find, and worth far more than diamonds.
Her husband trusts her without reserve, and never has reason to regret it.
Never spiteful, she treats him generously all her life long.
*She shops around for the best yarns and cottons, and enjoys knitting and sewing. *She's like a trading ship that sails to faraway places and brings back exotic surprises.
*She's up before dawn, preparing breakfast for her family and organizing her day.
*She looks over a field and buys it, then, with money she's put aside, plants a garden.
*First thing in the morning, she dresses for work, rolls up her sleeves, eager to get started.
*She senses the worth of her work, is in no hurry to call it quits for the day.
*She's skilled in the crafts of home and hearth, diligent in homemaking.
*She's quick to assist anyone in need, reaches out to help the poor.
*She doesn't worry about her family when it snows; their winter clothes are all mended and ready to wear.
*She makes her own clothing, and dresses in colorful linens and silks.
*Her husband is greatly respected when he deliberates with the city fathers.
*She designs gowns and sells them, brings the sweaters she knits to the dress shops. *Her clothes are well-made and elegant, and she always faces tomorrow with a smile.
*When she speaks she has something worthwhile to say, and she always says it kindly.
*She keeps an eye on everyone in her household, and keeps them all busy and productive.
*Her children respect and bless her; her husband joins in with words of praise:
"Many women have done wonderful things, but you've outclassed them all!"
*Charm can mislead and beauty soon fades.
The woman to be admired and praised is the woman who lives in the fear of God.
Give her everything she deserves! Festoon her life with praises!

Something to think about...

Summer, my favorite season...

Beach trips, picnics, cookouts, homemade ice cream, watermelon, Busch Gardens, swimming pools, waterslides and lazy rivers, the smell of rain, the smell of fresh cut grass, planting flowers, riding the lawnmower, sleeping in late, staying up all night, lightning, thunderstorms, cherry limeades, frozen hot chocolate (which I make now!), sunburns, trampolines, long walks, blowing bubbles, water fights, and lying on the trampoline at dusk...

Just a few things I love about summer!!!

I have to say I'm having a pretty good time hanging out with my family and just "chillin"!

Ahhhh! I love summer break!

And I can't wait until I can actually take the summers off. (I'm hoping that will be possible either next summer or the year after...once I finish my degree and actually make a teacher's salary.)

Tomorrow afternoon I go in for orientation at Target. Part of me is dreading the idea of working there because it's 3rd shift and it puts a cramp on my summer a bit. But the other part of me is just happy to have the extra income AND the discount too!

There are a few really cool things that have kind of fallen into place lately. Just little things, but the little things seem to make a big difference after having stress for so long. It's as if the tide is finally turning and even the little things are working out.
1. A guy came to the house out of the blue last week and asked if we wanted to sell our minivan. (This is the van that died a couple of months ago and was sitting here until we figured out how to get rid of it.) So he started it up, said the engine needs replaced and offered us some money for it....SOLD! Now he just needs to come and get it out of our yard so I can mow in that spot! hehe
2. We are now the proud owners of a riding lawn mower! The neighbor lady across the street had it sitting by the road with a "For Sale" sign on it. It sure beats waiting to mow our lawn until our next door neighbor was home to let us borrow his, or using the push mower on the 1.5 acre lot we're on! As it is, it takes almost 2 hours to mow the lawn on the riding mower. (I got out there and mowed the lawn yesterday and worked on my tan a bit!)
3. The previously mentioned piano...that's going to be awesome! We're going to be getting that later this month and I'll start giving some piano lessons to some friends' kids. I can't wait to get that in and started on teaching Elisabeth to play too.
4. Busch Gardens passes...we've re-purchased passes to BG Tampa, Adventure Island (water park) and SeaWorld. We've decided to upgrade to platinum passes so that in July when we are on a minivacation, we can get in free to BG Williamsburg. We headed to BG on Saturday evening and spent about 3 hours there. Elisabeth rode the Gwazi (a huge wooden roller coaster) and the Python (twice), along with the Cheetah Chase. Her favorite thing there was the Carousel though. LOL Sheikra was closed when we got there, so we'll ride it later. I think we may head over there tomorrow evening. When we were leaving, we said that this was the one thing we were missing from making the move back to the Tampa area complete...and now it feels like we're "home"! (Corny, I know!)

Today is "clean the house" day. Things have been so crazy lately that it's been a little bit neglected. It will be "Bright and Shiny" by day's end. (I hope!)
