No, I really don't want to go there. I think it's been the toughest year of my life, and it all started a year ago this month! (And I thought the year before was tough, I had no idea what I was in for...)
If I wanted to be negative and bitter, I could list tons of stuff that went wrong this year, but that is not what this post is about. Hindsight being what it is, there are several things I'd do differently, and the first one would be to insist that my gut instinct was right about many things, people and situations. I used to totally rely on my intuition and was usually right...well, I'm still usually right, but I have not been going with what I "know" either. I think I'm going to resolve to "go with my gut" from now on, and even though what I "feel" might meet some resistance I will have to say "I must insist"!
Right this minute I am struggling with some aggravation and disappointment, but fortunately it's also at it's end. Life has been getting better and better over the past few months, but right now I want to kick myself for allowing certain things to happen. Things I had options to change but didn't, not realizing how I'd feel about not changing things when I had the opportunity right in front of me. Then, there are some things I was told today that makes one think a little more about some other stuff. Hmmm...
I know that I'm talking in riddles, but I don't really want to talk specifics here. I just want to say that I'm glad this year is over and life is good because God is good.
God is good all the time.
All the time, God is good!
(I just need to follow the instincts He's given me and we'll be good! LOL)
