That's what Jerry equated the upcoming changes we're making with... We've been in a tunnel of turmoil and disappointment and change for two-and-a-half years now. We've been seeing the light at the end of the tunnel for awhile as things have stablized a little bit here and there. Hey, we've lived in the same home for a whole year now...that's more than we've stayed anywhere since March 2004 when we left the church that brought us back to Florida. We've had job stability for awhile too, so that's always good. I'm working for the District for the 4th school year now (minus the two weeks we missed when we were in DL and deciding to move back here). Hopefully over the next few weeks and months I will have LOTS of great things to brag on God about, because He's been taking care of us and blessing us.
We've found the house we want to move to, it's really nice. (We need more furniture it's so big! LOL) It's on a cul-de-sac and has a lake in the back yard...complete with your complimentary resident alligator. It's a 3 bedroom home (we're currently technically in a 2 bedroom), with 2 bathrooms (we have that now), a 2 car garage (we have a carport now---and no place for storing stuff like you can in a garage) PLUS a den (perfect for Jerry's office, since he needs a place to think and plan and meditate on what God wants for our church's youth ministry). The yard is a nice size, pretty big in the back, but also can be mowed in less than an hour---easily. The place has a dishwasher (thank you God!!!) and great appliances. I can't wait to get moved and post some pictures. I may have to drive by and get a pic of the front just to post sooner than later.
We've also found a great car that we're going to be buying from a friend of mine. It needs a couple of minor repairs first, so it will be a couple of weeks before we actually have it, but it'll be ours.
Well, I need to get the family ready for church tomorrow. We have to be there by 7:45 for set-up and then have a Vision Team Meeting in the afternoon followed in the evening by the youth group meeting....busy day!
I really need to get some packing done this week....dontcha think?
